| Steve peeking out through the sun roof :) |
Steve has been looking for the right car for a couple of weeks. We decided we wanted the Limited Edition, red, with charcoal interior. Almost all of the ones he found had the tan interior. The tan interior was beautiful but it was so light it was almost cream. Not very practical for living on a farm! The other requirement was to have adaptive cruise control so that when you are using cruise control and a car in front of you is going too slow, the car will slow down to match its speed and then speed back up when you go around them. We looked for both new and used cars but couldn't find any in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, or Austin with those features. The dealers said they would need to order it in and it would take about 2 months to get. Well Steve finally found one in McAllen, Texas, which was down on the border of Mexico, about a 7 hour drive from our house. So after negotiating a deal for it, we rented a car and drove to McAllen to pick it up :) We took Sabre with us for safety since we were going so close to the border! The dealership even invited us to bring Sabre in while we were signing papers :) I don't think I've ever written such a large check! I LOVE it :)
